Any contributions with Cushon which exceed the ISA limit will go into a General Investment Account.
This means with Cushon an employee will not exceed the allowance for their selected product.
However, we (Cushon) will not know if an employee is paying into an ISA elsewhere and so it’s the employee's responsibility to make sure they don’t go over the £20K maximum ISA limit per tax year.
If an employee has accidentally exceeded the maximum amount they can pay into an ISA in any tax year, HMRC should get in touch after the end of the tax year to let them know what they need to do.
