Contributions should be submitted to Cushon by the 5th day of the month following deduction from pay to ensure payment is with Cushon by the 22nd of the month, as required by the Pensions Regulator.
Contributions are paid by Direct Debit, and Cushon typically debit the account 3-4 working days after a successful upload of the contribution file.
After payment is received contributions will typically reach member accounts after a further 3-4 working days. Therefore, upon upload of the contribution file, contributions will typically take 8 working days to show within individual member accounts.
Contribution data is required to be uploaded for every pay period.
Current timelines
The below reporting schedule applies if you're late in paying contributions by the 22nd of the month following your pay date. If you're late and still haven’t paid contributions, you will receive each of the following reporting notifications.
| The notification and reporting schedule is: |
| 1 day late - Cushon will send you an email to advise that your contributions are overdue. |
| 30 days late - Cushon will send you a 30-day late notification. If the payment remains outstanding for a further 2 weeks, your employees will be informed. |
| 60 days late - Cushon will send a 60-day late notification. |
| 90 days late - Cushon will send you a 90-day late notification and you will be reported to the Pensions Regulator. Your employees will be sent a notification that you have been reported to The Pensions Regulator. |
| 120 days late - Cushon will send you a warning stating that we are preparing to exit your company from the scheme. |
| 150 days late - Cushon will send a pause and contact notice. Your employees will be sent a notification stating that contributions are still outstanding. |
| 180 days late - Cushon will send you an exit communication. Your employees will be sent leaver packs together with confirmation that your company has been exited from the scheme. |
